The Virginia Tech Agricultural Technology Program is proud to recognize Ruppert Landscape as the recipient of the 2026 Friend of the Program Award, honoring the company's decades of dedication to student success and program advancement.

For many years, Ruppert Landscape has been a valued partner of the Agricultural Technology Program, consistently investing time, expertise, and resources to provide meaningful learning opportunities for students. The company regularly participates in guest lectures and laboratory activities, often bringing both personnel and equipment to campus to give students hands-on exposure to industry practices.

Ruppert has also maintained an outstanding internship program that has benefited dozens of Agricultural Technology students over the years. These experiences have helped students develop professional skills and industry connections, with many internships leading directly to full-time employment after graduation. Several Agricultural Technology alumni have built long and successful careers with the company.

In addition to its support in the classroom and through internships, Ruppert Landscape has been a tremendous advocate for students participating in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC). Company representatives frequently assist students in preparing for competition events and generously support the team throughout the competition each year, including providing meals and mentorship.

The Friend of the Program Award recognizes individuals and organizations that make significant contributions to the Agricultural Technology Program through activities such as guest teaching, hosting field trips, offering internships, providing scholarships, sponsoring events, donating supplies, and advocating for the program. Ruppert Landscape's longstanding commitment to these efforts exemplifies the spirit of the award and the strong industry partnerships that continue to strengthen the Agricultural Technology Program.
