"When I was in high school, I thought I didn’t need a higher education just to work in agriculture, but when a past Ag teacher of mine, Mrs. Beery, suggested I look into the Agricultural Technology Program my mindset changed completely! I was amazed to see how hands on the classes were from labs, speaking to industry leaders, and even completing a summer internship. and in only two short years I could already be working in the industry! I chose Ag Tech because I was always told you never stop learning and you should always take a chance and I am so glad I did because this is a program where your curiosities come to life!"

Caroline Sayers

Graduating Year: 2023
Option: Applied Agricultural Management
Specialty: Crop Production
Hometown: Pulaski, Virginia
"I am from Pulaski County and didn’t grow up in a traditional agriculture background. I found my passion through my high school Ag teacher, who is also a alumni of this program. Through this program I have gained hands on experience, learned leadership skills, and have been challenged to go outside of my comfort zone. The friendship, partnership, and community I have built here will forever impact me. Through this program I plan to go home, and open my own greenhouse, and start a large scale floral production farm."
