Jonathan strives to engage students through an inviting and active learning style where dirty hands and the smell of freshly cut grass are routine. Highlighting many benefits provided by the turf industry, where students can find robust career opportunities with scenery that’s hard to beat.

"During my educational and career journey the concepts and lessons that have stuck with me were the ones where instructors/mentors encouraged me to ask, do, try, fail, and try again! So, it’s my goal as a teacher to invite students to jump into the learning experience and pursue a practical knowledge in the areas of turf and soil science"
