2022 Internships
Preparing students for their career with hands-on learning opportunities is at the core of what we do. A vital part of that is the required summer internship. Students receive valuable experience and feedback from their supervisor and advisor. Check out the photos below to see a sampling of our student's internship experiences from this past summer.
Ashely completed her internship at the beautiful Rocky Ridge Creamery and Skip-a-Rilla Jerseys in New Market, VA. Here she is pictured feeding cows.
Evan gained valuable experience working for an NFL team during his summer internship! In these photos Evan is looping trees and repairing machinery for the Washington Commanders at their INOVA Sports Performance Center in Ashburn, VA.
Caroline's summer internship with Virginia Tech’s small grains plant breeding program has given her more experience in the field. In these photos she is cutting the research plots, processing seed samples, and analyzing the seed collected

Michael and Todd completed their internships at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, SC. The photo shows them working on the irrigation system.
Tessa enjoyed her internship at Burnt Chimney Dairy in Wirtz, VA. Pictured here she is bottle feeding and bucket training a calf, driving the feed tractor, and checking on the cows. This real-world experience will help her accomplish her career goals.
Adam completed his internship at Whitestone Farm in Aldie, VA. The farm breeds and sales performance Angus cattle. Adam had many responsibilities including mowing, stacking, and moving hay, fixing fences, and working and feeding cattle.
