Congratulations to Jonathan Dickerson and Sam Doak for their recent recognition as part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Team Award. The two were part an interdisciplinary team that created the online Virginia Tech School of Turfgrass Ecology and Management/Certified Turfgrass Professional Program. The award was recently created to recognize the achievements and impacts of interdisciplinary teams in the college.

The Virginia Tech School of Turfgrass Ecology and Management provides comprehensive training in all aspects of warm and cool-season turfgrass selection, establishment, and maintenance. This school is designed to serve as a comprehensive introduction to turfgrass management for those without formal education in turfgrass science, or as a refresher course for those wishing to review their knowledge and learn of the latest tools, products, and strategies in managing a quality, environmentally responsible turfgrass system.

We are pleased to have current and former Agricultural Technology Instructors to be included in this team award!
